_MWP7607Terri Tucker represents twenty-seven years of experience in the arenas of customer service, guest interaction, meeting facilitation, public speaking, internal and external marketing, corporate communication and training.

Post-college graduation Terri embarked on a career as Marketing Director for the Hearst Corporation’s KMBC-TV in Kansas City, Missouri where she was responsible for designing synergistic media presentations for advertising clients, on-air promotions for News and Programming, and vendor development campaigns.

“I’ve been to a lot of planning retreats in my lifetime that were facilitated by some very talented facilitators, but none of them were as uplifting, inspiring, and productive for me and the organization I represent and love as the retreat you led for us these past two days. Your preliminary research and preparation were most evident, but your empathetic understanding of our challenged/opportunities came through as though you were one of us and truly shared our joys and frustrations.”

Board Member – Audubon Center

This five-year career position changed course when marriage said, “Living with your spouse is a good idea” and her husband was transferred to Springfield, Missouri. Terri took her knowledge to the NBC affiliate, creating a marketing research and new business development division for Schurz Corporation’s KYTV. These marketing positions required formulating presentations for industries who would not normally have viewed television as a viable advertising medium, i.e. health care, legal, religion, education.

In 1991, life added a challenge which forced the gifts of faith, compassion, perspective and positive attitude when cancer took the life of her 31-year-old husband, Dave Dickensheet, and left in his place a message which Terri is compelled to exemplify in her daily living and to share within her presentations.

The desire to ‘start over’ encouraged Terri to accept the position of Marketing Manager for the Silver Dollar City corporation in Branson, Missouri. She took with her abilities as an advertising specialist, creative writer and producer and focused them on results-oriented tasks. The corporation identified her internal marketing skills and two years later she was asked to develop and launch a corporate training center built to enhance learning, orient new employees on the company’s culture and annually welcome back the employees who return to work within the tourism industry of Branson, Missouri.

That invitation was too challenging to pass up and Terri spent six months benchmarking corporate universities and training centers throughout America and Europe. Her entrepreneurial spirit flourished and in 1993 she and her team opened Legendary University. In the first year, this unique training center oriented over 2,000 teammates to the corporation. As Director of Legendary University and member of the Silver Dollar City Operating Team, Terri introduced continuing education in the fields of customer satisfaction, salesmanship and teamwork. One year later Legendary University opened its doors to external seminars and offered personalized customer service training to hospitality, recreation and tourism businesses throughout the Midwest.

Legendary University expanded its areas of influence to include reward and recognition, team-to-team communication, motivational rallies, and fun! Legendary University introduced internal marketing, employee motivation and reward, and the impact of attitude-on-skill training to many organizations.

“I’m just finishing the compilation of your evaluations and WOW; you were a HUGE hit with our AE and volunteer leader audience. They loved you and gave you an overall score of 4.9 out of 5.0. Thank you and congratulations to being such a success and bringing valuable information to our constituency. They definitely want you back again.”
